1392881 Yarn traverser ELITEX ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 30 June 1972 [22 July 1971] 30631/72 Heading D1T A cylindrical surface for rotating a conical yarn package and an endless yarn-traversing groove in the surface are so shaped that the groove and contact area between the surface and the package reciprocate in unison along the package, the groove having a varying depth and a curved bottom surface forming a yarn tension compensator. Package 9, Figure 1, is rotated by surface 7 defined between parallel planes and having traversing groove 8 whose bottom surface is formed by compensator 11, Fig. 2, shaped to provide maximum yarn deflection when the groove provides a minimum yarn deflection. Alternatively, Fig. 3, surface 7 is formed as a swash plate.
