Abstract

1392574 Vehicle cab mountings TATRA NARODNI PODNIK 9 Feb 1973 [29 Feb 1972] 6509/73 Heading B7D A tilting cab, pivotally connected at one end to a vehicle frame, is releasably secured and supported at its other end on the frame by a device including an elastic member 1, 1<SP>1</SP> connected to the frame 2 or cab 5 and carrying a stationary member 18, 18<SP>1</SP> of a locking device, and a movable member 19, 19<SP>1</SP> of the locking device rotatably mounted on the cab or the frame. One such device is mounted at each side of the cab, and in the particular embodiment each member 1, 1<SP>1</SP> is secured via a bearing plate 3, 3<SP>1</SP> and a bracket 20, 20<SP>1</SP> to the frame. A second bearing plate 4, 4<SP>1</SP> which contacts the cab underside is fitted to each member 1, 1<SP>1</SP> and carries the locking pin 18, 18<SP>1</SP>. A hook 19, 19<SP>1</SP>, which co-operates with the pin 18, 18<SP>1</SP> to secure the cab to the frame, is rotatably mounted on the cab 5. The hooks of each device are interconnected by a rod system comprising joints 6, 6<SP>1</SP>, rods 8, 8<SP>1</SP> levers 10, 11 and a connecting rod 12. Lever 11 is also connected to a biasing spring 9 and an actuating rod 7 and lever 16, the latter parts being inter-connected by a bent lever 15 provided with a locking device 17. Movement of the lever 16 from the lower to the upper position causes the hooks to move from the locked to the released position.
