1392571 CsCoF 4 ISC CHEMICALS Ltd 10 April 1973 [11 April 1972] 16589/72 Heading C1A [Also in Division C2] CsCoF 4 may be prepared by reacting CsCL with CoCL 2 to form CsCoCL 3 and treating this with elemental F 2 at 300-500‹ C. CsCoF 4 may be used to fluorinate aromatic compounds and is thereby reduced to CsCoF 3 , and CsCoF 4 is regenerated with F 2 at 300- 500‹ C.
