Abstract

1392093 Antibiotic F-1028 KITASATO INSTITUTE and NIHON TOKUSHU NOYAKU SEIZO KK 29 June 1972 [29 June 1971] 30530/72 Heading C2C The novel antifungal antibiotic F-1028 having the formula or an acid addition salt thereof, is prepared by aerobically cultivating Streptomyces kagawaensis or an F-1028-producing mutant or variant thereof in nutrient aqueous medium, and isolating the said antibiotic from the cultivated medium. The salts of the compound may be the sulphate or hydrochloride. The antibiotic may be admixed with a suitable carrier or diluent to provide antifungal compositions for agricultural or horticultural use.
