Abstract

1391418 Removing particulate material from an air stream; cyclone separator NATIONAL FOUNDRY EQUIPMENT CO Inc 10 Nov 1971 [25 Jan 1971] 52200/71 Headings BIT and B2P A vacuum collection system for association with a collection hopper 11 has a platform base 13 with channel means 14 suitable for lifting tines of a fork lift truck. The base is sealed to the hopper by gasket 21 and has an air/particulate material intake 18 and an air exhaust orifice 19 and a particulate material orifice being in open communication with the hopper through the base. Also mounted on the base is a displacement blower 16 and the separation means 17. Various means for separating the particles from the air-stream are described and these may be used in combination. Thus the first stage for removing the heavier particles can be a cyclone separator (Figure 4 not shown) the next stage is an accelerating nozzle stage more specifically described and claimed in Specification 1391419 and a third air filter stage (Fig. 2 not shown).
