Abstract

1390597 Furnace rollers SCHMIDT CLEMENS EDELSTAHLWERK 20 March 1973 12036/73 Heading F4B [Also in Division F2] A furnace transport roller comprises a hollow tubular body 1 and stub shafts 4 of high temperature alloy, the body 1 being closed by end plates and filled with a protective gas at subatmospheric pressure. The shafts 4 are attached to the end plates by extension pieces 2. A pressure gauge may be connected to the hollow body through one of the shafts 4 and a valve may be provided to replenish the gas if necessary.
