Abstract

139,044. Vinten, H. B. March 26, 1919. Laying and supporting pipes.-Pipes P are laid in semicylindrical troughs or channels formed of sections as a which are moulded from a material such as a composition of concrete and breeze. The sections are connected by the engagement of semicircular lips c with corresponding recesses d; iron bolts or dowels cemented in recesses b assist in holding the sections together, and cement may be placed between the parts c, d for this purpose. A small quantity of cement may also be placed between the troughs a, and the pipes P laid in these troughs. The troughs may be made in straight or curved sections, the curves corresponding to the curves of standard pipes.
