Abstract

1390184 Buoys BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 17 March 1972 [19 March 1971] 7364/71 Heading B7A A buoy comprises an upper shell 1 and a lower shell 2 made of plastics material and joined together in contact to form a hollow vessel. A rigid metal pillar 3 passes through the shells and is welded to metal plates 10, 11 bolted on to the upper lower shells of the buoy where the pillar passes through the respective shell. An eye 6 in the pillar receives cable 8 from a ship. (For Figure see next column,)
