1389637 Gas scrubber GOTTFRIED BISCHOFF BAU KOMPL GASREINIGUNGS UND WASSERRUCKKUHLANLAGEN KG 21 March 1973 [30 March 1972] 13507/73 Addition to 1362306 Heading B1R Apparatus for drawing off blast furnace throat gases comprises an extraction pipe 1 and an annular gap washer having an axially movable conical component 4 to which is attached a cylindrical pressure reducing component 8 forming with a further portion of the pipe a pressure reducing gap 8A and having one or more apertured screens or perforated plates 14 in the gap 8A arranged orthogonally to the gas flow direction. In a second embodiment (Fig. 4 not shown) a second conical component 4 with associated pressure reducing component A and plates 14 may be arranged downstream of the first.
