Abstract

1389556 Film transport apparatus PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB 6 Jan 1973 884/73 Heading G2J Film transport apparatus for use in a strip film projector includes a film transport drum 5, a detent mechanism, including a pawl 17 received by groove defined by levers 10, 11, a motor 1 and manual turning knob 6. The motor 1 and knob 6 rotate the drum 5 by acting through a friction coupling 7. As shown levers 10, 11 are pivoted by pins 8, 9 on disc 7 and are held proud of the disc 7 at one end by spring 14. During film advance the pawl 17 is held clean of the groove by energizing electromagnet 18. The friction coupling is a disc 7 abutting flange 15 and gear 3 with friction linings on both its faces. In a modification, the drum may have two stopping places due to the use of two pairs of levers for receiving the pawl of the detent mechanism.
