Abstract

1388673 Seed or fertiliser distributors MASSEY-FERGUSON-PERKINS LTD 26 May 1972 [10 June 1971] 19877/71 Heading AID The distributor has a spirally shaped blanking plate 32 co-operating with outlets 36 from a seed box and movable about an axis 48 to progressively blank off the outlet. Alternatively the plate may be circular and movable about an, eccentric axis. A chute leading to a delivery tube is associated with spindle 38 whereby the spindle can be turned by bar 40 to clamp the chute and member 32 against the wall of the box. A shoulder 54 on the spiral effects a sharp cut-off of the outlet when efficient discharge through the outlet is unlikely. A minimum flow rate is secured by aligning apertures 58 separately or together with the outlet 36. Guides 30 effect movement of seed towards brushes 18 which agitate the seed adjacent the outlets.
