Abstract
1387753 Metallurgical ladles GEORG FISCHER AG 27 April 1972 [29 April 1971] 19716/72 Heading F4B A tiltable metallugical ladle 1 comprises a carrying frame 21, a base support 9 with an upright member 8 at one end, a pair of side arms 2 pivotally connected to the frame 21 at 3 and also pivotally connected to the member 8 at 10, the other ends resting on a weighing support 12 attached to the base 9, a fluid motor 5 pivotally connected at 27 to the frame 21 and at 29 to an arm 2 and a fluid motor 14 pivotally connected at 17 to said arm 2 and at 26 to the base support 9. The square frame 21 is connected by centring pins 22 to a collar 24 attached to the ladle 1. The fluid motor 5 enables said ladle 1 to be tilted into a vertical position, whereupon molten metal therein contacts additives introduced through and held near a door B, is disclosed in co-pending Application 18474/72 (see Group C6-C7). Fluid motor 14 enables said ladle to be tilted about pivot 10 for pouring through opening A which is normally closed by a cover. The pivot bracket 17 includes an elongated pivot hole 18. The arms 2 are joined by cross pieces 20 (20<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 2), forming a framework.
