Abstract

1386593 Moulded tyre and wheel assemblies REVVO CASTOR CO Ltd 11 Feb 1972 [19 Feb 1971] 5039/71 Heading B7C [Also in Division B5] A rotary element such as a roller or wheel is made by injection moulding an interconnected central hub 1 and rim 3, and forming a tyre 4 on the rim by injection moulding a material compatible with the material of the rim directly on to the rim so that the tyre is thereby bonded to the rim. The hub 1, disc 2 and rim 3 may be of a polycarbonate and the tyre may be of polyurethane. The rim 3 may have a raised central portion 5, or may be flat or concave.
