Abstract

1386470 Drawing curtains RILOGA-WERK JULIUS SCHMIDT 22 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971 24 March 1972] 59418/72 Heading A4B Curtain drawing apparatus includes a drawing carriage 22 for displacing the curtain, a stationary electric motor 10 and non-slip transmission means for transmitting the driving power of the motor to the carriage, the motor having either a non-shortcircuiting winding or means to prevent overheating, e.g. a relay for de-energizing the motor after a predetermined time, so that when movement of the carriage is stopped, at the end of a drawing movement, continued rotation of the drive shaft of the motor is prevented by the non-slip transmission means with the motor still energized. As shown, the transmission means comprises a toothed belt 15 moved by a toothed pulley 13 engaged by the motor drive shaft and guided by pulleys 16, 17. The belt 15 engages a toothed pulley 24 mounted on a spindle 25 on the carriage 22 to permit its rotation to set the carriage position but which in normal use is locked against rotation by a removable pin 26, Fig. 2 (not shown).
