Abstract

1385641 Display devices R T GANDIA 19 Jan 1973 [21 Jan 1972] 2845/73 Heading G5C [Also in Division G2] In an installation providing movie-type viewing of a cinematographic series of spaced stationary pictures for a moving observer, each picture is rear-illuminated in succession by a separate light source which is energized to provide illumination which pulsates at a frequency determined by the speed of the observer and the picture spacing in the series. The light sources may be gas discharge tubes, or lamp behind rotating apertured shutters.
