Abstract

1385513 Openers; cleaning fibres VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY 20 March 1972 [24 March 1971 (2)] 12885/72 Headings DID D1F and D1N Impurities are removed from fibres being combed out at B by a cleaning aperture 40 through which an air stream 41 passes onto the combing out roller 11 the air stream allowing impurities to pass into collection space 4 whilst preventing fibres from flying away. The separated fibres are fed to break spinning chamber 3. As shown the combing out roller 11 ejects impurities from the opened fibres into the collector 4. An air stream flows through channel 41 and assists separation of the impurities and fibres. The collector 4 can be removable and connected to a source of suction 44. The collector 4 may have an air inlet 451 and comprise shaped impurity deflecting walls (Figs. 3 to 9 not shown). The air fed into the separating device may pass through a filter(s) or an airconditioning unit (Fig. 12 not shown). The filters of a plurality of adjacent spinning units may be cleaned by a travelling cleaner. (Fig. 13 not shown).
