Abstract

1385036 Vehicle bodies WAGGONFABRIK TALBOT 15 Feb 1972 [18 Feb 1971] 6875/72 Headings B7L and B7B [Also in Division B8] A flexible constructional unit for forming a fixed or movable roof or side of a goods-handling container or vehicle coach work comprises a flexible textile and/or plastics sheet P stiffened by parallel support members T 5 which are connected to the sheet P by respective retaining members H 5 , the retaining members being secured to one face of the sheet by welding or other adhesive means and secured to the support members by interengaging grooves and projections. The support members are preferably of plastics and/or metal, and each retaining member H 5 has two grooves each including a re-entrant portion, to receive the "brim" of the "top hat" cross-section of its support member T 5 . The ends of the support and/or retaining members may be either constructed as or equipped with anchorage or guide mechanisms for the rigid or non-rigid mounting of the unit.
