Abstract

1384566 Aritiskid braking systems TELDIX GmbH 5 June 1972 [7 June 1971] 26175/72 Heading F2F An antiskid brake control system comprises a valve arrangement located in a conduit leading to at least one wheel cylinder and actuated by control signals to reduce the braking pressure by allowing fluid to flow from the cylinder or cylinders out of the main circuit when a wheel has a tendency to lock, a reciprocating return pump 9 for returning fluid, supplied by the valve, to the main system, a constriction 12 in the conduit between the pump 9 and the pressure source such as a master cylinder 4 and a storage chamber 13 connected between the pump and the restriction, the latter and the chamber 13 being so constructed and arranged that on one delivery stroke of the pump part of the fluid is stored in chamber 13 and is returned to the main system after termination of the delivery stroke. The valve arrangement consists of inlet valves 6a, 6b and outlet valves 7a, 7b controlled by a circuit including sensors. The system also includes a non-return valve 8, a non-return valve 10 and a further non-return valve 14 and the storage chamber has a piston 13a urged by a spring 13b to discharge fluid.
