Abstract

1384490 Windscreen cleaning installations VDO ADOLF SCHINDLING AG 7 Dec 1973 [21 Dec 1972] 56911/73 Heading A4F A windscreen washer pump 4 is electronically controlled to deliver pulses of washing liquid in synchronism with the movement of a windscreen wiper. The pump 4 is driven by a motor 3 having in series with its manual control switch 5 relay contacts 14 operated by a coil 13 receiving the output of a transistor 12, the control electrode of which is connected to a fixed contact 11 connected intermittently to a positive potential by a movable parking switch contact 8 operated by a cam 9 on the shaft of a wiper motor 1. Multivibrators 17, 15 in the circuit between the contact 11 and the transistor 12 control the timing and duration of the electrical pulses energizing the motor 3.
