Abstract

1382973 Selective printing BURROUGHS CORP 2 May 1973 [18 May 1972] 20763/73 Heading B6F Mounted for horizontal and vertical pivotal movement to the head 2 of a matrix wire printer is a skid 14. Upon encountering a thicker record medium A, the skid 14 rides over the surface thereof, and in so doing causes the print head 2 to move relative to the traversing slide (6, Fig. 1). The head 2 is mounted on the slide (6) with four leaf-springs (8 and 9), which allow for such relative movement.
