Abstract

1382712 Releasable fastenings VALMET OY 23 May 1972 [25 May 1971] 24177/72 Heading E2B [Also in Division B8] A lateral spreader frame 5 has two lower supporting pins 8 (only one shown) for engagement in the apertures of the two lower corner pieces of a container, the pins 8 being each mounted on a lever 7 which is freely rotatable about a pin 10, there being a ram 11 connected with each pin 8 such that when a pin 8 is inserted into a container aperture a feeler pin 12 is depressed and thereby act-, uates the associated ram 11 which causes rotation of the pin 8 through about 90‹ thus locking it in the container aperture. The frame 5 also includes two upper pins 6 (only one shown) which are mounted on a slide which is movable relative to the frame 5 by means of rams 9 (only one shown) such that the frame 5 can cooperate with containers of different height.
