Abstract
1382534 Refrigerating PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 15 March 1973 [18 March 1972] 12416/73 Heading F4H In a refrigeration system operating by circulation of <SP>3</SP>He through a duet 2 into <SP>4</SP>He in a first mixing chamber 1, the mixture passes to an evaporator 4 through a duct 3 from which evaporator the <SP>3</SP>He is vaporized and exhausted through an outlet 5. The <SP>4</SP>He passes from the evaporator through a first superleak 10 in the evaporator which communicates with a heated space 11, a cooler 14 and further, secondary superleaks interspersed with heat exchangers 6 to 9, chamber 1 and heat exchanger 17 to pass the <SP>4</SP>He into a second mixing chamber 19 arranged at a level above that of the first chamber to mix with <SP>3</SP>He-rich mixture therein for producing cold and the resultant mixture drops through a duct 18 into the chamber. A temperature of below 1 K. is achieved in the chambers 1, 19.
