1382194 Removing products in industrial processes B P P NEDERMAN 21 Dec 1972 [4 Jan 1972] 59030/72 Heading F4X An adjustable assembly for removing fumes from the place where they are formed such as a welding operation, comprises a suction hood 2 connected to the casing of a suction fan 1 by flexible tubing 3 to convey away the fumes &c., and by a linkage arrangement 9, 12 disposed within said tubing and arranged so as to enable the hood to be located at any position within the scope permitted by the linkage. Fig. 2 shows, for example, alternative positions A, B and C of the hood 2. Preferably also an elbow 7 is interposed in the suction line, and is pivotable horizontally on a suction pipe 6 of the fan casing, so enabling the assembly to pivot horizontally as indicated in plan view in Fig. 3.
