Abstract
1381862 Phonograph records MASSON SCOTT THRISSELL ENG Ltd 8 March 1972 [8 March 1971] 6252/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division G5] A phonograph record (10, Figs. 1-5) of plastics material is provided with a printed label(s) of plastics material compatible with that of the record so that the label and record may be remelted and remoulded together. The label (12) may be electrostatically held within a mould and the record moulded therearound or the label may be located wholly (Fig. 3) or partly (Fig. 4) within a recess (14) in a preformed record. The label may be held in the recess by electrostatic charge and/or ultrasonic or radio frequency welding, or by a pressure sensitive adhesive. The record and label may be formed from P.V.C. The material of the label has a higher melt viscosity than that of the record.
