Abstract

1381064 Injection moulding electric switches M H DELTOER 6 March 1973 [24 March 1972] 10788/73 Heading B5A [Also in Division H1] A method of manufacturing a rotary switch stator includes bending at least one length of wire into the shape shown in Fig. 1, placing it in a mould, Fig. 3, injecting insulating material into the mould to form a block B, Figs. 1, 4, removing the stator from the mould and cutting off the arcuate portions 9 inside the circle 11, Fig. 1, leaving contact portions 8 projecting into the hole in the block and cutting off the looped ends 4 to form terminals, the resulting stator being as shown in Fig. 4. As shown, two wires are used, both identical and one placed above the other, as in Fig. 2 (not shown) and Fig. 3 to form the stator shown in Fig. 4, with twelve contacts 8 each having its corresponding terminal 5, 6, 7, The mould, comprises a base 12, and intermediate portion 13 and a cover 14 with a central core 15 inserted through cover 14 and with slots in the mating faces for the wires and a cavity 28 for the insulating material which forms block B injected through hole 25.
