Abstract

1379840 Punching BRUDERER AG 26 Sept 1972 [1 Oct 1971]. 44442/72 Heading B3W The stroke of a punch press driven, through connecting rods 7, by a shaft 3 having inner and outer eccentrics 4, 6 is adjusted by holding the outer eccentric 6 and rotating the inner eccentric 4, a resilient member 37 being stressed by axial movement of a sleeve 30 to form a friction coupling in the adjustment drive. A toothed plunger 9 coupling the eccentrics 4, 6 is retracted, against a spring 12, by an eccentric pin 15 on a shaft 16 which is rotated by an extension member 21 within limits set by a stop 18 engaging an arcuate groove in the shaft. With the outer eccentric 6 held by a stop 39 operated by a crank-pin 41, the sleeve 30 is moved along the member 21 by turning a nut 29 which engages an inner sleeve 26 bearing on the sleeve 30. This movement of the sleeve 30 stresses a slotted cup spring 37 so as to couple a bevel-gear 31 to a flange 36 which is connected to the inner eccentric 4 by bolts 19. Rotation of a meshing bevel-gear 33 thus turns the inner eccentric in the stationary outer eccentric 6. The inner sleeve 26 is keyed to an extension of the flange 36 and bears graduations 43 opposite marks 44 on a flange of the outer sleeve and a mark 45 on the casing.
