1379668 Transforming co-ordinates NORTHROP CORP 26 Feb 1972 8942/72 Heading G4G An apparatus 10 for transforming rates of change of Euler angles #, #, # from axes x, y, z of a body rotating with respect to a reference frame X, Y, Z, to rates of change in the reference frame comprises a first resolver 11 receiving two inputs # y , # z representing rotations about the y and z axes, the first resolver being continuously set to produce two outputs, one of which is oriented with respect to the reference frame and the other of which is an intermediate component; second and third resolvers 12, 13 each receiving as one input an output of another resolver and as its other input a signal from a respective summer 16 or 17 connected in a feedback path from one of its own outputs; one of said summers 16 summing the respective feedback signal and the signal # x , i.e. the rotation about the third body axis, and the other summer 17 being arranged to sum the respective feedback signal and the intermediate signal from the first resolver 11. The rates of change of the Euler angles can be integrated at 18 to provide signals representing the actual angles #, #, #.
