Abstract
914,183. Course-recording apparatus. DECCA Ltd. Nov. 9, 1960 [Nov. 16, 1959], No. 38818/59. Drawings to Specification. Class 97 (2). [Also in Group XL (c)] In an arrangement for recording the track of a craft in accordance with the computed cartesian co-ordinates x and y of the craft as disclosed in Specification 914,185, x and y are computed as linear functions of the distance h o of the craft from the master station of a hyperbolic radio navigation system (see Group XL (c)) according to the equations where A, B, C, D are simple functions of (1) the hyperbolic co-ordinates P 1 , P 2 of the craft as determined by a navigation receiver, and (2) the cartesian co-ordinates of the master and slave transmitters. Specification 620,479 also is referred to.
