Abstract

1379298 Injection moulding machines KRAUSS-MAFFEI AG 31 Aug 1972 [15 Sept 1971] 40426/72 Heading B5A In an injection moulding machine having a worm 1 which is axially reciprocable by an hydraulic assembly 4, 5, thrust and radial bearings 11 and 12 respectively are mounted between the hydraulic assembly and an intermediate shaft 14 fixedly connected with the worm 1. The shaft 14 has a splined connection 15, 16 with a rotary drive unit 17. The hydraulic assembly comprises a cylinder 5 housing an annular piston 4 which is connected through a tube 7 to a cage 8 housing the bearings 11, 12, and a further radical bearing 13. The cage 8 is mounted for sliding motion in a housing 10, rotation being prevented by a member 18 engaging in a slot 19.
