1378535 Cinnamoyloxy alkyl methacrylate and acrylamide FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 10 April 1972 [9 April 1971] 16502/72 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C3 and G2] Examples illustrate the preparation of (a) #- cinnamoyloxyethyl methacrylate, (b) N-(#- cinnamoyloxyethyl)-acrylamide and (c) N- (cinnamoyloxymethyl)-acrylamide by reacting, in the presence of pyridine, cinnamoyl chloride with #-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, N-(#-hydroxyethyl)-acrylamide and N-methylol-acrylamide respectively. The products are polymerized to yield photosensitive polymers (see Divisions C3 and G2].
