Abstract

1377958 Surface deformation KALLE AG 13 Dec 1971 [14 Dec 1970] 57781/71 Heading G2H In a process of development of a charge image on photoconductive or insulative material by surface deformation using dry heat, deformation or erasure is effected in a limited area by the use of an adjustibly positioned template adjacent the surface of the material opposite that to be deformed during charging and/or heating. For charging, the template may be in the form of a wedge-shaped or pointed counter-electrode. For heating, the template may be a radiant heatconductive member having a slit or hole, or may be a bore hole in which is inserted a pin heated by a resistance coil. Retractible counter-electrode and heat-conductive members may be combined, the former being situated within the latter, e.g. as in Figs.5 and 6. The recording member may be attached to a suction plate having a large central orifice for insertion of various templates, the plate being mounted on a rotary table about which is situated stations for exposure, charging and heating Fig.8 (not shown). A micro or hologram record may be produced.
