Abstract

1377451 Sliders for sliding clasp fasteners OPTI-HOLDING AG 30 Jan 1973 [7 March 1972] 4691/73 Heading E2S A slider for a sliding clasp fastener comprises upper and lower elements 2, 1 connected by a core 3, a locking device housed in the upper element and constructed as a bar spring 5 having an arcuate spring element 8 which subtends an angle of substantially 270 degrees, a fixing element 9a a locking tooth 6 and an attachment piece 10 for a pull tab 7, the locking device being formed from a flat strip of spring material. As shown the bar spring 5 is insertable through an opening 12 in the upper element 2 and is formed with a stop 11. The upper and lower elements and core may be injection moulded from plastics material. In other arrangements Figs. 5-8 (not shown) the element 9a of the locking device extends downwardly from the element 8 or across the mouth of the opening 12.
