1376652 Abrading INTERNATIONAL COMPUTERS Ltd 29 Dec 1972 [4 Jan 1972] 255/72 Heading B3D [Also in Division G5] A method of making a transducer core from confronting polepieces 1, 2 defining a non-magnetic gap 5 includes forming recesses at either end of the gap 5 by advancing a lapping wheel having a circumferential, V-shaped groove. A core having two gaps (25, 27), Fig. 3 (not shown), has the recesses offset relative to the gaps, so that erase gap (27) is wider than record gap (25). The core is made of glass-- bonded ferrite.
