1376646 Shaft couplings PAULSTRA 2 June 1972 [2 June 1971] 25947/72 Heading F2U A shaft coupling comprises a ring made up of elastomeric (e.g. rubber) blocks 1 alternating with shaft attachment members 2, 2<SP>1</SP> (e.g. with holes 4 for bolts to connect with a flange or spider on a shaft) each adhered via an elastomeric layer 7 to a centring member 5. The member 5 may have a part-spherical barrel shaped or cylindrical outer face 9. There may be a plate 12 in the layer 7 between each member 2, 2<SP>1</SP> and the member 5.
