Abstract

1375949 Brackets A K GODDEN 2 Feb 1973 [7 Feb 1972] 5606/72 Heading A4B [Also in Division E2] A hook-shaped hanger is secured to horizontal rails by a clamp. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the hanger is made of a sheet of metal 5 bent over at its top 5A to embrace the upper one of rails 1, 2, and is locked in place by a turn-button 10, 14 rotated from the front by a knob (11, concealed behind a supported object 7). In the form shown in Fig. 5, the assembly is made of wire 18 in a carrier 17, the operating knob 11 being visible in this Figure. This knob may have indexing clicks to indicate its position Fig. 6 (not shown). In a further modification, the device has two hooks 24, 25, the top one of which is clamped by a sliding jaw moved upwardly against the top rail 1 by a screw 26 rotated by knob 27.
