Abstract

1375900 Carbon molecular sieve AIR PRODUCTS & CHEMICALS Inc 29 June 1972 30525/72 Heading B1L An absorbent with a significant portion of its pores lying within a narrow range comprises a matrix and a metal component distributed through a carbon molecular sieve which has been produced by controlled pyrolysis of a synthetic polymer. The separations of propane and propylene, butane and 2-butylene, carbon monoxide and nitrogen and acetylene and methane are illustrated.
