Abstract
1375559 Specimen tube device F HOFFMANN-LA ROCHE & CO AG 17 Dec 1971 [30 Dec 1970] 58867/71 Addition to 1290957 Heading G1B A holder device for a test tube comprises a receptacle 11 for receiving a test tube, the receptacle having means for positively retaining the test tube and an elongate plate 34 whose longitudinal centre line is substantially parallel with the axis of the test tube when in the receptacle, the plate being integral with the receptacle and capable of supporting a data support of the punched card type, the plate having spaced apart mutually parallel grooves. The holder device preferably comprises a pair of receptacles 11, 12 Fig. 1 having flexible tongues 22, 24, 28, the upper edges of which are formed with beads Fig. 4 (not shown) which retain test-tubes inserted into the receptacles. The data support card may be glued to plate 34. The device may be an integral moulding formed with lateral projections 36, 37 for supporting the device. The projections may be parallelpipedical each having a trapezoidal bottom part 42 Fig. 2 for use with a complementarily shaped support, or may be cylindrical for use in pivoting the device.
