Abstract

1374296 Bursting discs INTERATOM INTERNATIONALE ATOMREAKTORBAU GmbH 23 Dec 1971 [23 Dec 1970] 60088/71 Heading F1D A mounting ring 3 for a bursting disc 1 has a second moment of area which is at least 80% of that of the attachment flange 4 of the apparatus which the disc 1 protects. The ring 3 is held between flange 4 and the flange 6 of a pipeline by bolts 7. The disc is welded at 2 preferably by an electronic beam weld. An apertured plate 9 protects the disc 1 from corrosive fluid, by reducing the scouring effect on the disc.
