Abstract

1373893 Phosphorus imidate derivatives STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO 12 Dec 1972 [13 Dec 1971] 56884/72 Heading C2P The invention comprises compounds of the general formula wherein X is O or S, R and R 1 are selected from C 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1 -C 4 alkoxy or C 1 -C 4 alkylthio with the proviso that when R is C 1 -C 4 alkylthio R 1 is other than C 1 -C 4 alkylthio, R 2 is C 1 -C 4 alkyl or phenyl and R 3 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl with the further proviso that when R and R 1 are the same R 2 may be hydrogen. They may be obtained by reacting a compound: (R)(R<SP>1</SP>)P(X)- NH 2 with an orthoester R 2 -C(OR 3 ) 3 in the presence of alcoholic HCl. The products have pesticidal properties and may be used in admixture with an inert carrier or diluent.
