Abstract

1373721 Cleaning sensitized plates XEROX CORP 8 June 1972 [11 June 1971] 26757/72 Heading G2H In an electro-photographic copying machine wherein residual toner is removed from the sensitized surface 12 by a brush 27 there is provided means for recovering the residual toner comprising an air duct 32 connected to the housing 30 of the brush 27 and to a blower means 36 for moving air through the duct. Situated between the input end 31 of duct 32 and the blower 36 is a separating means 41 (e.g. of the centrifugal type 1 for removing toner from the passing air. This toner is discharged via means 55 into containers 60. Air leaving the blower is directed by duct 34 into a final filter 35. The containers 60 are adapted to be fitted to the input end 81 of the toner dispensing device 80. (For Figures see next page)
