Abstract

1373056 Jugs R SEELIG & HILLE 23 June 1972 [4 Nov 1971] 29485/72 Heading A4A [Also in Divisions B1 and C1] A domestic water purifier is constructed as a jug having a hollow handle defining a storage space 6 which is filled from the top through inlet 7, the water passing through 12a and upwards through layers 16, 17 of ion exchange resin [Trading as LEWATIT] and active charcoal into space 11. Pure water is poured off through spout 4, tilting of the jug allowing all the water in space 6 to be purified. Ridge 15 prevents all the water being poured off so that layers 16, 17 do not dry out. Cover-plate 14 screws out to allow the layers to be replaced.
