Abstract

1372796 Suspending curtains M SEITZ 2 Nov 1972 [2 Nov 1971 17 Dec 1971] 50504/72 Heading A4B A curtain suspension comprises runners 12 which are inserted on, or removed from, a curtain rail in a direction transverse to the rail at any position along its length, each runner having a transverse head 18 with a domed surface 19 which slidably bears on a horizontal slide ledge 7 of the rail and a stay 21 extending upwardly from the head 18, the stay 21 terminating in a hook 22 which in use engages over an inwardly directed guide ledge 11 of the rail. The runner includes a depending arm 13 with projections 14 which selectively engage holes 14' in a suspension member to vary the suspended height of the curtain. The runner may include other domed surfaces 20, 23 for bearing on the rail. A modified rail, Fig.3, has pairs of symetrical ledges 7, 11 and includes a central reinforcement 30. The top wall of the rail may be secured to a ceiling.
