Abstract

1372598 Self-levelling article dispenser AMF Inc 19 Oct 1972 [4 Nov 1971] 48159/72 Heading T A self-levelling article dispenser comprises base and table frames 10, 11, Fig.1, connected by a plurality of lazy-tongs 12 and biased apart by a main coiler compression spring 13, has a torsion spring 14 connected at one end to a tong at 14' and at the other end 14", Fig.2, releasably connected to one of the frames. End 14' is held in bracket 15 attached to tong 12' while the other end passes through an aperture in table frame part 11'and has a cranked part 14 "resting on tab 16' of an adjustable block 16 to prevent it turning and therefore making the torsion spring effective. On loosening wing-bolt 17 in slot 18 in frame part 11', the block 16 may be slid away from crank 14" to release the torsion spring for turning. As shown in Fig.1, the dispenser having five springs may have five rates of resistance or travel per unit load as the second article from the top of a stack on the table moves up to the level of the first article which has been removed.
