1371460 Friction dampers IPRA INDUSTRIA PIEMONTESE RADIATORI AUTOMOBILI SpA 22 Dec 1972 [8 June 1972] 59530/72 Heading F2S [Also in Division E2] In a friction damper for at least two relatively angularly-displaceable pivotable elements, a fixed support element 1 is mounted on one of the two elements, and two coupling elements 6, 6<SP>1</SP> integrally attached to two respective control levers 7, 7<SP>1</SP> are provided with a plurality of resilient fins 13, 13<SP>1</SP> which frictionally engage the outer curved surfaces 10, 10<SP>1</SP>a of the annular portion of the fixed support element when the two coupling elements 6, 6<SP>1</SP> are in the assembled position shown in Fig. 2. The two coupling elements 6, 6<SP>1</SP> are held together by means of a plastics pivot pin 17 which is snapengageable into respective apertures 16, 16<SP>1</SP> in the two elements 6, 6<SP>1</SP>. Alternatively, the means for holding the annular elements together may be formed by a pair of resilient arms having laterally projecting teeth at the free end thereof, the arms being formed integrally on one of the elements (Figs. 4-6 inc., not shown).
