Abstract

1371273 Stacking machines METAL BOX CO Ltd 22 May 1973 [1 Aug 1972] 35892/72 Heading B8C In stacking apparatus, articles 11 such as trays bearing cans 43, are delivered by conveyer 38 one at a time on to members 37 of a table 10 which then moves upwardly on shaft 12 as controlled by cam 18 and rocking lever 15, the article being raised to pass between spring- loaded supports 1 upon which the article then rests as table 10 is lowered. Repetition of this sequence builds up a stack of articles from below until the top-most article trips switch 31 to operate pneumatic pusher 25 whereby the stack is displaced from supports 1 on to a further conveyer. Table 10 comprises spaced bars 37 which can pass between supports 1 and elements 36 of pusher 25. (For Figures see next page.)
