Abstract

1370105 Pulse oscillator circuits LUCAS ELECTRICAL CO Ltd 14 Jan 1972 [15 Oct 1971] 48026/71 Heading H3T [Also in Division C4] The process control system disclosed in Specification 1,370,104 is provided with an oscillator (48) Fig. 1 (not shown) the frequency of which is variable upon the values of 3 further parameters involved in the process. As shown a capacitor 90 may be charged from a battery 83 via the collector-emitter path of a transistor 91. When the potential thereacross exceeds a certain value, a thyristor 88 turns on and discharges the capacitor, the potential at the output point 89 thereby going from nearly that of the line 82 to that of line 81 sequentially to provide the pulsed output. The collector current of the transistor 91 and therefore the rate of charging of the capacitor is variable owing to the presence of a first, thermistor 93 the temperature of which is dependent on the value of a first parameter, and similarly the base current is variable according to a thermistor 94 which monitors a second parameter. The gate potential of the thyristor is dependent upon the slide setting of potentiometer 85, 87 which is moved according to the value of a third parameter.
