1369834 Purifying hydrogen GRUPUL INDUSTRIAL DE CHIMIE 17 Dec 1971 58788/71 Heading C1A [Also in Division C7] Hydrogen produced by electrolysis is treated so as to remove any alkali material carried with it by moistening the gas with water and passing it through a cation exchange resin in its hydrogen form. After use and before subsequent reuse the water with which the gas is moistened may be passed through an anion exchange resin to maintain its pH approximately neutral. The process is said to work on hydrogen containing 1 to 20 mg. NaOH/Nm<3>.
