1367061 Clothes pegs PINZASA SA 16 May 1973 [19 May 1972] 23353/73 Heading E2B A clothes peg comprises two legs 11, 12 and fastening means, such as a gapped ring 13 holding the legs together, the legs being capable of straddling a clothes line and of gripping an article of clothing at one end of the peg, and at the other end of the peg the legs terminating in nested abutments which serve to prevent lateral, longitudinal and slewing movement of one leg relative to the other. As shown, identical legs have projections 21, 22 and hollows 23, 24 and, which, when the peg is pressed against a clothes line, swing apart against the bias of the ring 13 and about the fulcrum provided by the edges 35, 36. Alternative fastening means comprise a band 39, Fig. 7, with or without a central rib, an H-shaped member, or a double-headed pin 45 as shown in Fig. 9 for example. In a modification, the abutments may comprise (a) a transverse flange at the end of one leg and, in combination therewith, a forwardly-extending flange on either side of the leg, the end of the other leg fitting or nesting with the flanges, (b) a transverse rib on one leg and a mating transverse groove on the other leg, and (c) a rectangular stud on one leg and a mating recess on the other leg.
