1367029 Rare gas composition UNION CARBIDE CORP 27 April 1973 [28 April 1972] 20036/73 Heading C1A A breathing gas for deep sea diving at depths of 150-800 feet consists of 0À8 to 27À0 vol. per cent of oxygen and 73À0 to 99À2 vol. per cent of a mixture consisting essentially of 50-80 vol. per cent neon, less than 20 vol. per cent nitrogen and the remainder helium, the amount of helium being at least equal to that of nitrogen, the percentage of oxygen decreasing with the depth of the dive.
