Abstract

1367013 Hollow-charge for cutting metals SOC NATIONALE DES POUDRES ET EXPLOSIFS 8 Nov 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 51484/72 Heading F3A A flexible hollow-charge, detonating fuse for cutting metals under water at depths up to 100 m., comprises a casing 1 of lead or leadantimony alloy, a passage 2 containing an explosive charge 11, and a gas-filled passage 3. The gas in passage 3 may be pressurized to prevent the fuse being crushed by hydrostatic pressure. The passage 3 is closed by plastics end plugs (6), Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown) which carry a socket (7) for receiving a detonator.
